CODE GREEN: Our Parks in Peril - Call to Action (Oppose SB 315)
Hello CARPD Members & Friends:
Your immediate action is critical to protect the future of California parks and recreation.
As you may know, SB 315 (Grayson) poses a significant threat to the way our parks are built and maintained-- fundamentally changing decades of policy and depriving our communities of a healthy and thriving park system while also potentially costing our Districts millions of dollars. This bill is scheduled to be heard before the Senate Local Government Committee on April 23rd, and CARPD is leading the opposition to this proposed legislation.
Opposition letters are due by April 17th, leaving us with little time to make our voices heard.
This is a CODE GREEN situation – our parks are in peril, and we need every CARPD member to join this cause. Download the template opposition letter below and email your signed copy to mduarte@capri-jpa.gov by 5:00pm on April 16th. You can also find CARPD's recent letter to the bill's author below.
Your participation in these opposition efforts is vital, and the future of our parks depends upon our joint action. We look forward to your active participation in this critical effort. Together, we can protect our parks.
Thanks,
Matthew Duarte
