Mark your calendars! With election season winding to a close, the next few months will see several new Board Members take their new seats at the dais. To assist these individuals and their Districts during this period of transition, CARPD is pleased to announce the return of the CARPD Board Member Orientation!

The interactive presentation will address the unique role of a District Board Member and how one can use this opportunity to best serve their community. This training is ideal for new Board Members, but will also touch on matters relevant to even the most seasoned of electeds. Best of all...it's FREE!

Topics will include an overview of your District's powers and duties under the California Public Resources Code, the Board's role as policymaker, and a Brown Act compliance review. Q&A and discussion to follow after the presentation.
